Good to hear, honestly. This place isn't really all that bad on its own, all things considered. And you seem like a pretty- well, I was gonna say grounded, but.

[And he gestures to Okie's everything.

Yaknow. You seem sensible. [He rests both hands in his lap, idly linking his fingers as he rests his elbows on his thighs. It's a very 'I'm a Cool Adult' pose, unconscious as it is.] You been handling people Seeing you okay? Like capital S, through your Mask.

[Okie shrugs and sits himself onto his bed, giving a light pfft at the joke.]

Well enough. It's nice not to have to hide it, really. Enough other people got magic that it's easier to lose a freak in a circus. Biggest thing now is not surprisin' people when I pull lightnin' out a wall socket. Plus, I got these.

[He reaches into a drawer and pulls out a plastic container of strange yellow... grapes? They smell faintly of Hedge.]

Goblin fruits. Came in the mail. Lets normal folk get a peek for 'bout five minutes. [He perks up quick and puts his hands up as if in surrender.] Both folks I shown already knew what Lost were from Erin an' I kept 'em in here 'til it wore off. I'm playin' it safe, makin' sure I don't out one o' the others when they don't wanna be. Oh, and they're on offer, too. I got eighteen left of 'em.

But no, you're doing a great job, actually. The rest of us've all been Out for a few years now, we're all a bit gunshy about who can actually See us. When I learned Phil could, I nearly bit his ass, I thought he was another Changeling.

Maybe if I spent more time back home Lost I’d be a bit more hesitant ‘bout it, but. Here I’m just another part o’ the magic weirdness.

[Sorry Gil. He doesn’t know if he needs to be sorry for not getting typical Changeling culture but he is.]

I wanna try making a list of all the people who can See us, just for like- completion's sake, I suppose? Keep us all on the same page, sort of thing. If we get more Changelings, no more nasty surprises.

I know Bash, Ruby, an’ Natsuno can. An’ Dimitri an’ Mr. Smith know ‘bout Changelings an’ me specifically.

[He reaches for his own phone after a second.]

You should send me the full list once you make it, too.

Bash is that New Orleans guy, right? Think I wandered through a memory of theirs.

Daisy is dating Erin, she can See us too, and based on what she's told me she's basically her world's version of a Beast so, y'know. Play nice. Phil's besties with Erin too, so he knows a lot about Changelings, but not half the words we use.

That's the one, yeah. He's good folk. I like him.

Daisy's the one what bull an' China shopped a bit ago, yeah? An' I think Phil is like my friend's dad.

Before my time. Not that that's saying much, I've only been here like three weeks.

[He clicks his phone off again and tucks it away.]

But yeah, I'll see who the others have on their lists. Do you, uh. [He wiggles a hand vaguely.] You keep in touch with the others much? Erin, Giles, Oswald?

Erin keeps up with me, I go to her for advice sometimes. [This next bit is gonna be awkward to say.] Would you believe me if I said I ain't properly talked to either o' the other two?

I've only met Giles. Well- [but he grimaces as he adds it,] -I kind of met Ossie. Memory crack bullshit, so it doesn't count. Meeting someone during their Durance isn't exactly at their best. Giles a good dude, though. Don't let him being a fancy-pants intimidate you, he's only that uptight 'cos he's British.

Erin's my friend, though. Wanted to check in with something on her behalf for you, actually. [It's a weird question, but there's only one way through and that's forward.] You know she's like- an ex-privateer, right?

I know she's got a sword an' that she's been good to me, even though I was scared to death of her. That's the long an' short of it. [What the hell is a privateer? Probably something bad, if he's asking like this.]

She ain't given me reason to think she'd fuck me over since I known her. [shrug]
